ESF/BUFF BLISTER

Tactile blister paving is used to identify the location of a drop kerb and an appropriate place to cross. Guidelines regarding the use of tactile paving specify the use of red units at controlled crossing points and buff units at uncontrolled crossing points. Some relaxation of these guidelines may be allowed in conservation areas. Guidelines also exist on the layout and positioning of blister paving units.
