Steel is versatile, cost effective, and as a material offers huge potential to the designer or specifier. Steel products can be easily manufactured to meet performance or aesthetic requirements and can be used in almost any street furniture application. Whilst designers often use steel to create contemporary designs and bespoke items, steel is still the material of choice for a vast range of utility products.

Steel is given superb corrosion protection by galvanising and the ability to finish with paint or powder coating means that practically any item can offer a very long life. The high tensile strength and vandal-resistance of steel makes it suitable for the most demanding applications, e.g. traffic management, anti ram-raid bollards or perimeter fencing.
